The Janitza UMG 800 is a modular, expandable energy analyzer designed to facilitate the creation of energy monitoring systems, featuring interfaces such as Modbus and OPC UA. This versatile device provides extensive functionality and flexibility to optimize energy efficiency and gain insights into power quality. It is ideal for use in industrial environments, energy storage systems, battery storage systems, and utility buildings like hospitals and data centres.

The UMG 800 can be expanded with a variety of modules, supporting up to 96 current measurement channels and 182 digital inputs. It is equipped with two Ethernet RJ45 ports and an RS485 interface, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems. With support for communication protocols like OPC UA and Modbus TCP/IP, the device enables efficient real-time data transmission.

This power analyser can measure harmonics up to the 63rd order, helping detect potential issues and disturbances in electrical installations. Equipped with 4 GB of memory, the UMG 800 allows for easy storage and analysis of historical data, enabling the identification of energy consumption trends.

Expansion Modules

The UMG 800’s modular design allows for the easy addition of current measurement modules, supporting up to 13 modules and a total of 96 current measurement channels. These modules are automatically recognized by the UMG 800, eliminating the need for complex wiring for measurement voltage, auxiliary voltage, or bus connections.

Remote Display

For installations behind panels or doors, the RD 96 remote display provides easy access to read and configure the UMG 800 and its connected modules. The display connects directly to the UMG 800 using the included 1.8-meter USB cable.
