The Janitza UMG 801 is a modular power analyzer designed to support comprehensive energy monitoring systems, featuring interfaces such as Modbus and OPC UA. This advanced device combines energy measurement, power quality monitoring, and ground fault detection, providing a versatile and powerful solution for improving energy efficiency and ensuring power quality transparency. It’s ideally suited for use in industrial settings, energy and battery storage systems, as well as commercial facilities like hospitals and data centers.

The UMG 801 includes 4 digital inputs, 4 digital outputs, 1 analog output, 2 Ethernet RJ45 ports, and 4 multifunction inputs. It also features 3 voltage inputs and 8 current inputs, organized into two blocks of four channels each—supporting accurate readings across TN, IT, and TT power networks.

Capable of measuring harmonics up to the 127th order, the UMG 801 is a valuable tool for detecting and diagnosing electrical issues and disturbances. It includes a 4 GB internal memory to store measurement data for trend analysis and long-term performance insights.

Expandable with Additional Measurement Modules

Thanks to its integrated JanBus interface, the UMG 801 allows seamless expansion with current measurement modules. These modules can be mounted directly onto the DIN rail alongside the UMG 801 or each other, with automatic recognition and without the need for looping voltage or bus connections. Up to 10 modules with 2x 4 channels or 3 modules with 6x 4 channels can be connected.

Optional Remote Display

Since the UMG 801 is often installed behind panels, the optional RD 96 remote display offers convenient access for monitoring and configuration. It mounts on the front of the distribution panel and connects via the included 1.8-meter USB cable for easy setup and control.
